Welcome to my blog! My name is Christine Thalwitz and I have been immersed in the health and fitness industry for more than 20 years. After earning B.A. and M.T. degrees from the University of Virginia, I began my career as a fitness instructor and educator. My background includes certifications from ACE, AFAA, AEA, Stott Pilates and NASM. I have also been a continuing education provider for ACE and AFAA and a Body Pump and Body Step assessor for Les Mills International.

As Vice President of Marketing at acac Fitness & Wellness Centers, I provide leadership for strategies, tactics and resources that support revenue growth, member acquisition and retention, and delivery of acac‘s promise to help others live their best. In my role I oversee market research, advertising, promotions, communications, public relations, and media coverage across the company. As brand leader, I have also developed and delivered training to build company culture and brand consistency from the inside out.

I am a contributing columnist for Club Industry magazine and IHRSA’s Ask an Industry Leader series. In 2009, I authored IHRSA’s publication The Economic Benefits of Regular Exercise and its companion piece, Building a Corporate Wellness Program.
